COMMUNITY LIVING SERVICES

"Our professional staff work in cooperation with families, service coordinators, and school personnel to develop individualized therapy programs"

Community Living Services(CLS) provides a multitude of services to assist individuals with developmental disabilities as well as those with mental illness. CLS professionals assist in developing, teaching, and maintaining life skills with participants to function independently in their communities. This improves their quality of life, enhances their self-esteem, develops positive social behaviors, and promotes appropriate community integration. CLS professionals work in conjunction with families, schools, and service coordinators to develop individualized programs.

During the past fiscal year, the CLS program provided center, home and community based services to individuals residing in the Lewiston, Moscow, Kamiah, and Grangeville. The CLS program did well in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation program and continues to do well with the summer program offered to children.

OUI began offering Intensive Behavioral Interventions (IBI) to children, in addition to specialized groups for individuals, parenting classes, and the protective payee program. These new programs are expected to expand the choices that individuals have in selecting services.
